REDWATER, Texas — Redwater swept Hughes Springs, 25-13, 25-14, 25-9, in a varsity match Tuesday to improve to 20-6 on the season.

Ally Walston paced the 20th-ranked Lady Dragons with 13 service points and 15 digs. Bella Fernandez added 10 kills and four aces, and Ashton Holland had 18 assists.

Redwater's junior varsity A won, 25-14, 25-12, with Delaney Edwards contributing 10 service points.

The jayvee B team made it a clean sweep on the night with a 25-5, 25-13 win. Markaylon Jones served 11 points to lead the Dragons.

The Dragons begin district play at Paul Pewitt Friday at 4:30 p.m.

OMAHA-NAPLES, Texas — Paul Pewitt finished up it pre-district schedule with a 25-12, 25-15, 25-9 win over Clarksville.

Kailyn Jones served 15 points and five aces for the Lady Brahmas, Hannah McGee added 14 points, and Calli Jo Osmonhad 13 points and a trio of aces. Destiny Jones led the offense with 11 kills, and Jacie Crocker chipped in with 12 assists.



Tigers sweep

TEXARKANA, Texas — Texas High's junior varsity tennis squad defeated Mount Pleasant Tuesday night, 12-0.

The Tigers are back in action next week, traveling to Sulphur Springs.
