#TXKPreps Roundup | Phillips leads Fouke past Smackover as Genoa Central has next

PRESCOTT, Ark. - Seth Phillips' game-high 27 points led Fouke past Smackover in the first round of the District 7-3A tournament at Curley Wolf Gym in Prescott, 69-54.

Kanon Garrett finished with 18 points for the Panthers.

Fouke will face Genoa Central at 5:20 p.m., while the Lady Panthers will face the Lady Dragons at 4 p.m.

 

SOFTBALL

Longview 6, Texas High 5

LONGVIEW, Texas - Texas High fell to Longview on the softball diamond Monday, 6-5.

Lauren Allred led the Lady Tigers at the dish going 3 for 4 with a single, double and 2-run homerun, totalling 4 RBI on the night.

Bailey Groom finished 2 for 3 at the plate for THS with two singles.

THS finishes fourth

MARSHALL, Texas - Longview won the JV Mav Relays at Marshall High School Monday afternoon in the boys division, with a score of 120 and Texas High placed fourth with a score of 45.

Eric Shepard won the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.69 for THS.

Guy Johnson, Blake Rogers, Jaylen Hendricks and Jalen Jones placed third in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 44.34 for the Tigers. Johnson, Rogers, Hendricks and Jones also finished second in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:34.00.

Nacogdoches won the meet on the girls side with a score of 132.5, while THS finshed third with a score of 55.

Alexsia Edwards placed third in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.54 for the Lady Tigers.

Gabrielle Lollis, Kaleah Williams, Jazmine Flagg and Shavaundria Boykin placed third in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 53.20 for THS.

Kadajdi Loudermilk, Boykin, Williams and Flagg finished third in the 4x200 meter relay for the Tigers with a time of 1:54.77.
