HOOKS, Texas - Tamarion Smith's game-high 11 points led Hooks over Paul Pewitt Thursday night in the eighth grade boys game, 46-7.
Pewitt defeated the Hornets in the seventh grade game, 23-19.
Hudson Davis led Hooks with eight points and teammate Braden McDonald added six points.
The Hornets defeated the Brahmas in the middle-school B game, 9-3.
CJ Johnson led Hooks with four points.
Redwater and DeKalb trade wins
REDWATER, Texas - DeKalb defeated Redwater in the eighth grade boys game, 52-16.
Brody Johnson and Michael Newton each scored five points apiece for the Dragons.
Redwater beat DeKalb in the first seventh grade game, 44-26.
Marquez Jones scored a game-high 13 points for the Dragons and teammate Gavin Carrell added 10 points.
Redwater defeated DeKalb in the second seventh grade game, 14-6.
Cody Roberts led the Dragons with six points.
Lions romp past Mustangs
RED LICK, Texas - Wesley Bradford scored a team-high six points for Red Lick, but New Boston won the eighth grade A game, 41-14.
Spencer Whitlow scored all seven of the Mustangs' points in a 20-7 loss in the eighth grade B contest.
Tanner James poured in 16 points for Red Lick, but the Lions won the seventh grade A game, 46-23.
Longhorn girls, boys each win
MCLEOD, Texas - Kenslee Cross lit up the nets for 14 points to lead McLeod over Maud, 20-14, in a junior high girls basketball game.
Jaxon Smith put up 14 points in a 38-31 Longhorn victory over the Cardinals in the boys game. Teammate Kannon Dempsey added 11 points.
Tigers suffer four losses
HALLSVILLE, Texas - Mally Lumpkin paced Texas Middle School's eighth grade A team with eight points, but the Lady Tigers fell to Hallsville, 37-20.
Deja Hayes scored five points for TMS in a 42-7 loss to the Lady Bobcats in the eighth grade B contest.
Ke'Aria Antwine and Kyla Reed each had six points, but the Tigers were edged in the seventh grade A game, 20-19.
Madison Beaird had three points for TMS in the seventh B contest, but Hallsville rolled to a 34-3 victory.
L-E tops Paris
TEXARKANA, Texas - Triston Haugh's nine points led Liberty-Eylau over Paris in the first seventh grade boys game, 47-28.
Paris defeated the Leopards in the second eighth grade game, 21-17.
Colin Evans led the L-E with seven points.
