McLeod girls, boys victorious over Rivercrest

BOGATA, Texas - Kaitlyn Cross racked up 29 points including four shots from downtown to lead McLeod's varsity girls over Rivercrest, 58-45, on Tuesday.

Cary May scored 14 points for the Lady Longhorns, while teammate Sibbie Comer had 14 rebounds and nine points. Gracie Lance pulled down 12 boards for McLeod.

Chassie Gryder had 11 points in the junior varsity game for the Longhorns, but the Lady Rebels won in overtime, 29-25.

Trevor Deel set the nets on fire with 20 points to go along with 20 rebounds as McLeod won the varsity boys contest, 65-49.

Casey Smith scored 13 points for the Longhorns, and teammate Keldyn Schubert had 11 points, 14 assists and four steals.

Gabe Groves poured in 10 points for McLeod in the junior varsity game, and the Longhorns won, 31-26. Braden Parker contributed eight points for McLeod.

Lady Hawks power past Spring Hill

LONGVIEW, Texas - Emma Sanderson booted a pair of goals and had an assist to lead Pleasant Grove over Spring Hill, 3-1, in a varsity soccer match.

Delia Tuttlebee booted in the Lady Hawks' third goal of the match, and Maddie Ethridge had an assist to Sanderson on the second goal of the contest.
