New Boston junior high boys top QC in basketball

NEW BOSTON, Texas - New Boston won all three junior high games over visiting Queen City in boys basketball Thursday.

The Lions' eighth grade won, 23-4, with Connor Bobbitt scoring eight points for NB.

New Boston edged the Bulldogs, 20-19, in the seventh grade game. Jamarian Jackson paced the Lions with nine points, and Kaleb Francisco scored seven to lead QC.

New Boston won the junior high B game, 11-8.

 

Lady Backs take 2 of 3 against Hope

HOPE, Ark. - North Heights won the girls seventh grade game, 14-5, with Gabby Sanders leading the way with six points.

The Lady Cats won the eighth grade game, 20-15. McKencie Smith scored eight points for North Heights.

Makayla Dodd fired in eight points to lead Arkansas High's freshmen to a 32-17 victory.

 

Lady Mustangs

sweep Paul Pewitt

RED LICK, Texas - Mollie Fisher racked up 24 points to lead Red Lick's eighth grade girls over Paul Pewitt, 53-17.

Zoe Vanderhoof poured in 23 points for the Lady Mustangs.

Natalie Cobb paced the Lady Brahmas with nine points.

Addisyn Gildon had a game-high 14 points as Red Lick won the seventh grade contest, 34-23. Teammate Anna Beth Black added 10 points.

Taliyah Brown had a team-high 10 points for Paul Pewitt.

 

Lady Rabbs earn
three wins

REDWATER, Texas - Kym Sheppard lit up the nets for 22 points as Atlanta's eighth grade A team defeated Redwater, 33-26.

Karley Latham had a team-high six points for the Lady Dragons.

Carlajah Adger's 15 points solidified a 21-15 victory for the Lady Rabbs in the seventh grade A contest.

Emma Campbell paced Redwater with 10 points.

Caitlin Bailey scored six points in Atlanta's 10-5 victory in the junior high B game. Shae Woolery had three points for the Dragons.

 

Maud falls to Detroit

DETROIT, Texas - Bayla White ripped the cords for 11 points, but Maud fell to Detroit, 39-24.

 

Lady Bulldogs win 2 of 3

QUEEN CITY, Texas - Alex Larry fired in 16 points to lead Queen City's eighth grade A to a 50-15 victory over New Boston.

Abrianna Scott had a team-high five points for the Lady Lions.

Alexa Gooden's six points helped New Boston to a 12-7 win in the eighth grade B contest. Halissya Green had six points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Solai Dorsey blazed the nets for nine points, and New Boston won the seventh grade A game, 25-21. Laterika Jackson paced Queen City with seven points.

 

Hooks' A teams
defeat Bears

DEKALB, Texas - Carbeion Johnson poured in 16 points to lead Hooks' eighth grade A boys to a 49-32 victory over DeKalb.

Keyshawn Walls added 12 points for the Hornets.

Daren Hamilton's eight points helped Hooks' seventh grade A team to a 20-19 win.

Jalyn Jackson scored four points for the Hornets in the junior high B contest, but DeKalb earned the win, 14-8.

 

Lady Bears win

HOOKS, Texas - Ashton Daniels put up 12 points to lead DeKalb's eighth grade A girls to a 37-21 win over Hooks.

Zoey Ganaway poured in 14 points, and the Lady Bears deafeated the Lady Hornets' seventh grade A team, 27-23.

Shakhya Shackleford scored eight points for Hooks.

 

Marshall wins three against Lady Tigers

MARSHALL, Texas - Mally Lumpkin scored nine points for Texas Middle School's eighth grade A team, but Marshall hung on for the win, 27-26.

Kemaurih James added five points for the Lady Tigers.

Deja Hayes swished in eight points for TMS in the eighth grade B contest, but Marshall took the victory, 22-15. Teammate Kaylee Jackson contributed five points.

Carlyn Clack had the hot hand with 12 points, and the Tigers won the seventh grade A game, 28-16. Ke'Aria Antwine scored 10 for TMS in the victory.

The Tigers lost the seventh grade B game, 25-6.
