TEXARKANA, Ark. - Arkadelphia defeated Arkansas High, 48-40, in varsity girls basketball action earlier this week.
The Lady Backs were led by Keniyah Bryant with 10 points and Taylor Reed and Seaira Watson added 7 each.
Liyah Smith led the Lady Badgers with 11 points.
The Lady Backs won the junior varsity gaem, 54-19, over Spring Hill's JV. Seaira Watson had 24 points and 11 rebounds and Taylor Reed 11 points and 9 rebounds for Arkansas High.
The Lady Backs' next game is scheduled for Monday at Prescott.
Bloomburg edges QC
QUEEN CITY, Texas - Bloomburg edged the Queen City Lady Bulldogs, 56-50.
The Bulldogs were led by Hannah Fitts with 12 points and Serenity Oden added 8.
Bloomburg got a game-high 28 points from Cassie Glasgow and 14 apiece from Jacee Glasgow and Haylee Breedlove.
McLeod wins, 48-23
STAMPS, Ark. - McLeod jumped out to a 19-2 first-quarter lead and didn't let up on the accelarator as the Lady Longhorns defeated Lafayette County, 48-23.
Ella Lambeth led McLeod with 14 points and Cary May added 12. T. Daniels topped Lafayette with 12 points, all on 3-pointers.
