Hooks girls top DeKalb

HOOKS, Texas - The Hooks varsity volleyball squad defeated DeKalb in five sets Tuesday, 17-25, 25-17, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12.

Morgan Creer led the Lady Hornets with 18 kills and 12 blocks, while teammate Kaclyn Nelson swatted in 18 points with 12 digs.

Meagan Reiter added 16 points with four blocks for Hooks and teammate Kinsley Birdwell contributed 13 kills.

Eva Johnson ended the match with 11 points for the Hornets and teammate Kelsie Patterson chipped in five points.

Natalie Whitten finished with six points for Hooks.

Hooks lost the first junior varsity match to DeKalb, 14-25, 25-10, 15-13.

Tiara Sanders led Hooks with eight points and teammate Marleigh Smith added eight digs.

The Hornets lost the second junior varsity match to DeKalb, 21-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Alee Winneford led Hooks with 10 points and teammate Kendyl Davis contributed four kills.
