SIMMS, Texas — McLeod's Keldyn Schubert had a quadruple double to power the visiting Longhorns past the host James Bowie, 53-34, Friday in varsity basketball action.

Schubert finished with 22 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Nos Gryder added nine points for the winners.

Jared Hock topped the Pirates with 16 points.

McLeod also won the JV game, 48-16, behind Braden Parker's 11 points.

Maud 35, Linden-Kildare 25

LINDEN, Texas — Maud built a 20-10 halftime lead and held off Linden-Kildare in a district game on the Lady Tigers' home court.

Bryann Sultz led the Lady Cardinals with 10 points and Libby Carroll added eight points.

Madilyn Bynum scored 11 points for L-K and Leah Brown added 10.


RED LICK, Texas —New Boston Middle School girls beat Red Lick, 35-23.

Solai Dorsey led the Lady Lions with 11 points. Anna Beth Black topped Red Lick with 16 points.

Hooks wins three

HOOKS, Texas — Diana Hernandez scored 12 points to lift Hooks' A team to a 30-25 win over Paul Pewitt.

Hooks also won the seventh-grade A game, 25-16, with Madison Lewis scoring 10 points for the winners.

Hooks made it a sweep by winning the seventh-grade B team, 8-1. Hooks got four points from Aliyah Levias.
