Atlanta's Collins earns MVP

Atlanta senior Daimion Collins was named the Most Valuable Player by the district coaches on the 14-3A boys all-district team.

Collins helped the Rabbits complete a undefeated run through the league, as well as reaching the regional semifinals in the postseason.

Atlanta senior Keyshawn Easter was named the Defensive player of the Year, and Jarrod Boston was the Coach of the Year from Atlanta.

New Boston junior Malachi Dorsey was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year was shared by DeKalb sophomore Caleb Dooley and Hooks freshman Carveion Johnson.

The 14-3A all-district first team featured a pair of Rabbits in senior Caleb Hamilton and junior Alex Boston. New Boston had three first-team selections in seniors Kyle Atkinson, Jamin Powell and Tre Lewis-Colbert. DeKalb seniors Ramaj Vaughn and AJ Burgin were named to the first team, along with Redwater junior Drew Graves.

The second team added sophomore Kameron Dickerson from Atlanta, along with Paul Pewitt senior Kadrien Johnson and sophomore teammate A'myree Johnson. Queen City senior Damir Rascoe was picked for the second team, Dalton Robertson was a Redwater senior on the second team, and Hooks senior Carter Jackson was joined by junior teammates Kielon Estell and David Johnson on the second team all-district.

The honorable mention list included Atlanta's Kenyen Washington, Paul Pewitt's Tavion Brown, Queen City's Kieran Droddy and Clayton Whittenberg, DeKalb's Colte Baxley, Redwater's Cole Turner, Jake Huckaby and Kaden Bowen, Hooks' Tommy Rigsby and Davarious Clark, and Angel Recendiz, Kevon Thompson and Kaden Hill from New Boston.
