LAST WEEK: The Tigers scored three unanswered touchdowns in the second half to beat Forney, 34-13.

THIS WEEK: Texas High (2-0) is open before starting District 9-5A, Division II.

OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS: RB Braylon Stewart had four TDs and 91 yards on 21 carries. QB Brayson McHenry connected on 16-of-25 passes for 201 yards, a score and no interceptions. WR Brandon Hall caught seven balls for 81 yards, and Blake Rogers added five catches for 60 yards. Derrick Brown caught a short touchdown, and WR Cody Reese had two grabs for 43 yards.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS: DB Tyriq Robinson had an interception for the Tigers, and Joshua Stewart and Derrick Brown added a fumble recovery each. Brown, who also blocked an extra point, had seven solos among his nine tackles, and LB Javarous Tyson had seven tackles with six solo stops. Braxton White, Robinson and Tyler Harris added four tackles apiece. Brandon Childs and Michael Thomas had three stops each, and Childs and Marcel Beaver each caused a fumble.

COACH GERRY STANFORD'S COMMENTS: "It all came down to our effort level. We're still finding out what our identity is, as a team and on both sides of the ball. This was just our second game. We're learning more about ourselves each week, and we've got another open week to get healed up and prepare to start district play in two weeks."
