LAST WEEK: The Tigers scored five unanswered touchdowns and blanked Mount Pleasant in the second half of a 44-13 win for Homecoming.

THIS WEEK: Texas High (3-0, 1-0) travels to Hallsville (0-4, 0-1) for another District 9-5A, Division II game.

OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS: RB Braylon Stewart rushed 18 times for 222 yards and two TDs, and QB Brayson McHenry completed 10-of-12 passes for 110 yards and two scores, as well as rushing for a touchdown. WRs Blake Rogers and Cody Reese each had a TD reception, Reese catching three balls for 47 yards and Brandon Hall snagging six passes for 46 yards.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS: DB Tyriq Robinson had an interception - his third in three games - for the Tigers, and DL Ean Crite had six tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. LBs Javarous Tyson and Darrin Finley each had eight stops, with Tyson delivering seven solo tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.

DB Marcel Beaver added six tackles and returned a blocked PAT for a 2-point conversion. DL Braxton White made seven tackles, and DB Michael Thomas added an interception.

COACH GERRY STANFORD'S COMMENTS: "Mount Pleasant was probably our toughest opponent up to this point. We played as physical, on both sides, as we have all year long; that was a big part of the game. It was part of our game plan to play physical and fast all night, and let the rest fall to the side.

"We were able to produce at key moments on offense and defense. We ran the ball effectively and won the battle up front, on both sides. That was key for us."
