ARKANSAS HIGH @ DOLLARWAY

TEAMS: Arkansas High (0-0) at Pine Bluff Dollarway (0-2)

KICKOFF: 7 p.m., Cardinal Stadium.

LAST WEEK: The Razorbacks did not play last week's annual rivalry game with Texas High due to the Texas UIL postponing Class 6A and 5A schools' season opener to the end of September. Dollarway lost to Pine Bluff, 12-6.

LAST YEAR: The teams did not play.

GAME FACTS: This is the season opener for Arkansas High, which was ranked No. 3 in the preseason poll. Dollarway has struggled offensively, scoring just six points in two outings. The Cardinals have rushed for 188 yards in those games but thrown for just 27 yards. The game will be live blogged at texarkanagazette.com/arkansashigh.

ARKANSAS HIGH'S BARRY NORTON: "I want us to go play well and execute. I want us to go play without penalties or mistakes; I know some are going to happen. I want the kids to keep them to a minimum, as much as we possibly can, because your first game's going to have some. I want to make sure we do the little things right, that we don't have substitution errors or alignment mistakes. It's all the first-game things that a coach worries about.

"We need to tackle well. We just need to play as clean a game as we possible can, and if we do that we should be OK. We don't want to turn the ball over.

"Dollarway's really big, physical and fast. Offensively, they're searching for identity right now; they're playing two quarterbacks to find the right one to get their offense going the right direction. They're going to at some point, but we just need to go play our game, play well and handle any adversity the right way."
