TEXARKANA, Texas — Liberty-Eylau Independent School District announced Thursday that only students who choose the Traditional Instruction model will be eligible to participate in extracurricular activities, including all UIL contests.

The school district released procedures for their return to school during the coronavirus pandemic.

Traditional Instruction is for students who will be on-campus during the school year.

Liberty-Eylau's football program will have a new, but familiar face this year with Dewaski Davis being named the interim athletic director and head coach. Davis, who was an assistant football coach and head basketball coach for the Leopards last year, replaces Klint King, who departed after 14 months as AD and head coach.
