COACH JOSH GIBSON'S COMMENTS: "We will need to play a clean game, not turn the ball over, play physical, not have a lot of penalties and execute in special teams.
"Gilmer's team is better than solid. In some polls, they are ranked behind us at No. 2. They held Carthage to three touchdowns and shut out last year's champion Newton, 16-0. They are stronger than they were last year.
"Their defense is playing great right now. Gilmer is one of the top four teams in the state of Texas in our division. They run a spread offense. It is going to be a huge game in which you have two top-five teams going at it. It is a big district game. The stadium will be packed and there will be a big-time atmosphere. It will be rockin.'"
