DIERKS, Ark. — Poyen had Dierks' number this year, at least on the football field.

The Indians defeated the Outlaws, 48-26, in a second round playoff game Friday on Dierks' home field.

It was Poyen's second win over the Outlaws this year, which included a 21-12 decision earlier this season.

Dierks closes out its season with a 10-2 record while Poyen moves to the next round with an 11-1 mark.


Gators keep winning

FOREMAN, Ark. — The Gators kept their winning ways going with a 34-15 victory over Magazine in the Class 2A playoffs at Foreman.

The Gators (6-5) will face undefeated Fordyce (11-0) next week. Fordyce ripped Clarendon, 49-6, in its playoff game Friday.


Two others gets forfeits

Nashville in Class 4A and Prescott in Class 3A received forfeits to advance in their respective playoff brackets.

The Scrappers (8-2) were scheduled to be at home against Waldron (4-6), but Waldron forfeited, 1-0. Nashville will host Elkins in the second round on Friday. Elkins rolled over Bald Knob, 44-7, in its playoff game.

Prescott (8-0) received a 1-0 forfeit from Drew Central (1-5). The Curley Wolves advance to the second round against Melbourne, which defeated Cedarville, 38-8, in its playoff Friday.
