DeKALB, Texas — Owen Likins took home first place with a time of 15:23.90 in Texas High's district cross country meet on Wednesday.

Likins' top finish qualified him for regionals and helped the Tigers place fourth as a team with 91 points.

Evan Likins was 15th, Gabriel Raley placed 21st, Joshua Somerville was 25th, and Ian Childs placed 29th.

Vanessa Perez placed 19th in the junior varsity girls contest for Texas High, while teammate Allyson Arnold was 30th.

Jeb White crossed in 10th place, and teammate Chapman White was 11th in the junior varsity boys competition. The two helped the jayvee Tigers place fourth with 89 points.
