ArkLaTex 100 Club's tournament benefits police, firefighters

TEXARKANA, Ark. - The ArkLaTex 100 Club's Pull for Heroes sporting clay tournament is March 7 at Rocky Creek Outdoor, located at 4001 South State Line Road.

The event is open for teams and individuals, and the club is seeking sponsors for the event. The entry fee is $100 per shooter.

"Last year we had 70 shooters participate, and we're expecting an even better turnout this year," club founder Gail Eichler said.

Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase from Hooks Volunteer Fire Department; proceeds will benefit the department.

Registration is open until Feb. 15 at thearklatex100club.org. The mission of the club is to raise funds for dependents of local first responders who are lost in the line of duty.

Any remaining funds are available as grants to local fire and police agencies to purchase unbudgeted life-saving equipment and training.

All funds benefit Bowie and Miller County police and fire fighters.
