Chapman lifts Jr. Bulldogs over Jr. Razorbacks with walk-off hit

TEXARKANA, Texas - The Texarkana Junior Bulldogs scored three runs in the seventh inning and Aiden Chapman hit a walk-off single to lift the unbeaten team to a 5-4 win over the Texarkana Junior Razorbacks on Tuesday at George Dobson Field in Spring Lake Park.

The Junior Hogs (7-8-1) got on the board first when Blaine Farrington drew a walk to bring home Shaw Story in the second inning. Later in the inning, Nate Brower connected on an RBI-single to score Dalton Raley, who had a game-high two RBIs, to give them an early 2-0 lead.

A couple of errors and a Brower bunt in the fifth inning would extend the Junior Razorbacks lead, 4-0.

The Junior Bulldogs (9-0) scored two in the fourth inning on a couple of fielder choice plays by Tucker Sanders and Brennan Penny before scoring three in the final frame to seal the victory.

Alex Galvan pitched three innings for the Junior Bulldogs, where he allowed two runs on three hits with four strikeouts.

Jack Abston took the loss on the mound after relieving Nate Moore, who allowed three hits and two runs over five innings and striking out six batters.
