TEXARKANA, Texas — Texarkana native Colby Adkins, Triston Dixon, Jackson Sioson, Davis Rogers and Brett Russell signed to play summer baseball for the Texarkana twins.

Each player is a pitcher. Adkins graduated from Texas High and plays for Abilene Christian University.

Dixon is a right-handed pitcher from Corrigan, Texas, and spent a short 2020 season throwing for the Angelina College Roadrunners. Dixon went 2-2 with 30 strikeouts and a 2.25 earned run average.

Sioson plays for Temple College and finished 3-1 with 16 strikeouts and a 4.20 ERA. Sioson also plays third base.

Rogers is from Bokchito, Okla. and plays for Carl Albert State College. He struck out 16 batters in 27.2 innings of work.

Russell is an athlete at Seminole State College. Over the past season, he had 46 strikeouts with a 3.41 ERA.

The Twins open the 2020 season at George Dobson Field in Texarkana, Texas, at 7:05 p.m Tuesday against the Amarillo Sod Dogs.
