The Sevier County Sheriff's Department has planned a series of community block parties for Sevier County, Arkansas residents.

The first party will be June 25 in the Gillham community. An exact location has not been announced yet, according to the sheriff's office.

The second block party will be July 23 at The Herman Dierks Park in De Queen.

The third block party will be at the community building in Ben Lomond community on August 27. After all three block parties are held, area agencies will team up for the "National Night Out" Oct.1 at the sportsplex in De Queen.

The night will feature collaborative efforts from the Sevier County Sheriff's Department, De Queen City Police, local fire departments and others to provide friendly interaction with law enforcement in the community.
