The Atlanta ISDAthletics Hall of Fame inducted its third class of honorees Friday in ceremonies prior to the Gilmer football game.

The three inductees are the late Randy Jackson (1948-2010), Dee Dee Henderson and Ted Thompson. Their backgrounds may be read in the accompanying photograph of plaques.

The first class of honorees were inducted in September 2018, and the second in 2019 as selected by a committee of seven, led by Gordon Pynes, which worked almost a year to raise funds and formally open the hall.

The Hall of Fame committee receives nominations from the public at any time. Nominations may be addressed to Atlanta Athletics HOF at P.O. Box 637 Atlanta, TX 75551. Potential inductees must have graduated from Atlanta or Booker T. Washington high schools or been employed there. Eligibility includes athletic performance, good character and graduation at least 10 years prior to selection. Eleven plaques honoring the inductees have now been installed on the entry wall at Rabbit Stadium.
