Louise Thornell has been named vice-president/chief nurse executive for CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
"Louise brings over 30 years of health care and nursing experience to this role along with 17 years of administrative management," said Jason Rounds, chief operating officer/administrator. "She has demonstrated a track record of impressive nursing achievements that will continue to serve her well as our new CNE."
Thornell is embracing this
opportunity.
"I am excited to continue my health care career through my new role at CHRISTUS St. Michael as we prepare to celebrate our 100th year of service to our community," Thornell said.
Previously service line director for Emergency, Trauma and Nursing Services , Thornell has served as interim CNE since October 2015.
Thornell is pursuing a doctorate degree in nursing through Walden University.
