Early voting starts today

Bowie County voters may vote early until Nov. 4; deadline is Nov. 7 for Miller County residents

Early voting for the Nov. 8 general election gets under way today in Bowie and Miller counties.

Bowie County

Bowie County residents can vote early today through Nov. 4.

Early voting will be conducted at the Bowie County Courthouse and at the west side entrance of the Bi-State Justice Building, 100 N. State Line Ave., Texarkana, Texas.

Early voting dates and hours are as follows:

  • Today through Friday, Oct. 28, from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 30, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 31, and Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 2, and Thursday, Nov. 3, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Miller County

Miller County residents will be able to vote early today through Nov. 7.

Miller County is a "vote center county," which means any registered voter in Miller County may vote at any of the three early vote locations listed below.

Miller County Courthouse, 400 Laurel St., Texarkana, Ark.

  • Today through Friday, Oct. 28, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 31, through Friday, Nov. 4, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hickory Street Baptist Church, 2923 Hickory St., Texarkana, Ark.

  • Thursday, Oct. 27, and Friday, Oct. 28, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 3, and Friday, Nov. 4, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Stanley Davis Community Center, 203 N. Redcutt Road, Fouke, Ark.

"The commission would also like to remind registered voters they may vote at any polling place within the county on Election Day from 7:30 a.m. 7:30 p.m. Voters will not be able to vote at the courthouse on Election Day," said Brandon Cogburn, Election Commission chairman.
