Leadership conference planned for March 11

The Texarkana Area Christian Leadership Conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon March 11 at Ozan-Inghram Iron Mountain Neighborhood Center, 1101 Couch St.

The theme is All Lives Matter with special focus on "Blue and black/white lives matter" national themes, according to conference planner Chaurcey Boyd.

Speakers will include local religious and political leaders and city officials, including police and other local community leaders.

"This initial meeting will be introductory in nature. We are not looking for a lot of details. The amount of details presented will be up to the presenter. Presenters will have up to 20 minutes. There will be follow-on meetings later," Boyd said.

The conference is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

The goal of the conference is to "realize and promote Texarkana USA as a model metroplex regarding Christian-based interdenominational, interracial, interpolitical communication, cooperation, collaboration, effectiveness and non-violent impetus regarding critical/core value-based life/cultural issues."

TACLC is planned and implemented by Chaurcey Boyd Ministries, Total Life Christian Missionary Baptist Church and a group of autonomous interracial, interdenominational and interpolitical community-minded individuals.
