HOPE, Ark. — A forklift certification training class will be held from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at the University of Arkansas Hope campus in Room 160 of the Technical & Industrial Building.

The class is $75 per person and is limited to a maximum of 15 participants available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The class is instructed by Iry T. Rice, owner of Rice Safety Consultants, and is compliant with OSHA specifications and provides a three-year certification.

The Department of Labor requires any forklift operator to hold an OSHA forklift certification. Certification can increase workplace safety and productivity and lower costs.

A forklift operator card and certificate will be awarded to attendees after successfully completing the course.
