TEXARKANA — Commercial National Bank just completed a reconfiguring of its Texarkana branches. CNB opened a branch on Seventh Street and upgraded the Arkansas Boulevard location.
The decision was made earlier this year to relocate the State Line CNB branch and expand facilities at Arkansas Boulevard.
Those projects began in March and were opened in July. "We are really excited with the remodeling of our Arkansas Boulevard branch," said Sandra Maroon, executive vice president and controller.
"It was a small footprint, so we wanted something roomier, brighter. Also, we are really excited about our new West Seventh Street location."
"Now that everything is updated at our Arkansas Boulevard location and now that the Seventh Street location is open, we have more branch locations than any other bank in Texarkana," said Lori Harper, vice president and cashier
"We had a great relationship with the owners of that (State Line) property for many years," said Maroon. "They've been excellent to do business with all this time. We leased from them for over 50 years."
Now that these projects are complete and those branches are open to the public, CNB is intent on growing "retail banking".
"We will be focusing on banking with the entire community," said Harper. "Businesses, industry, individual customers, we will cover the whole spectrum of banking."
George W. Peck founded Commercial National Bank in 1964. Julia Peck Mobly, his daughter, is former CEO and current senior chairman of the board. Philip Mobly, grandson of George W. Peck, current CEO and chairman of the board, has been so for almost two years.
CNB is completely focused on local service. Most of its branches are in Texarkana, with one branch in Fouke, Arkansas.
"We are totally locally owned and operated," said Harper.
