VIDEO | Down for the count

A garage apartment behind a house on 2520 Magnolia St. in Texarkana was flattened Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019. Demolition equipment began pulling the building down about 8 a.m. Wednesday as Texas-side police blocked the alley for safety. A truck and backhoe were loading and hauling off the rubble at about 1:30 p.m., as seen here. The building was located at the back alley and, because the property on the other side of the alley is also vacant, the tear-down was visible to passing motorists on State Line Avenue near the 26th Street intersection.
