Driver runs stop sign, hits TWU truck in Texarkana

A woman driving southbound on Pine Street in Texarkana, Texas, apparently ran a stop sign Monday morning and struck a Texarkana Water Utilities truck that was headed eastbound on West Seventh Street, according to an official.

Jessica Davis of Atlanta, Texas, who was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, was cited for no driver's license, no insurance and failure to stop at a stop sign, according to information released by Shawn Vaughn, Texarkana, Texas, Police Department spokesman.

An 11-year-old passenger in the Jeep suffered minor injuries and was taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center for treatment, Vaughn said.
