Miller County will hold an online public records training session from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday at Southwest Arkansas Electric, 2904 E. 9th Street, Texarkana, Ark.

Miller County Tax Assessor Nancy Herron and Tax Collector Laura Bates invite the public to learn how to conduct a professional search of online real estate and tax records, get detailed record cards of property, and also learn how to use interactive online mapping.

"They'll be going over how to assess online, how to pay taxes online and how to view your real estate online," Bates said. "Data Scout is a phenomenal program that a lot of the public isn't aware of and so our goal is to educate as much of the public as we can to let them know that you can pay your taxes online. You can assess online. All of these things you never have to leave your house for. It'll be roughly two hours of education, basically. A lot of people don't know where their boundaries are and it'll give rough boundary lines of their property and aerial views."

Spots are limited. To reserve a seat in the session, call the Miller County Collector's office at 870-774-1001.
