TEXARKANA, Texas - An ongoing journalistic road trip made a stop Thursday in Texarkana to tell the story of a local small business.

Syndicated television show "The Texas Bucket List" will air its segment on Ragland Piano Co. probably in November, producer and host Shane McAuliffe said.

Similar to other "on the road" journalists such as the late Charles Kurault and Bob Phillips, McAuliffe travels Texas in search of feature stories, with a focus on the state's must-dos and must-sees.

In production since 2013, the show is in its 13th season. It airs in 23 broadcast markets and may soon be seen on KSLA-TV, Shreveport, Louisiana's Channel 12, McAuliffe said. It also airs on cable channel RFD-TV and can be found on YouTube online.

Thursday's stop was the show's first in Texarkana, part of a trip to several Northeast Texas cities. McAuliffe, who started his journalism career as a sportscaster, said it is the people he covers, not the places, that interest him the most.

"We're all about telling stories," he said.
