TEXARKANA, Texas - More than 400 volunteers will pack more than 100,000 meals for hungry children Saturday, and there is still time to get involved.

The meals are funded by Tacos 4 Life restaurant's Meal 4 Meal program, and they will go to a nonprofit called Feed My Starving Children, according to a news release from the city.

According to Tacos4Life.com, for every taco, quesadilla, salad or rice bowl the chain sells, it donates 22 cents to Feed My Starving Children, which distributes rice packs to severely malnourished children in more than 60 countries.

Area volunteers will pack meals from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Texarkana, Texas, Convention Center, 2910 S. Cowhorn Creek Loop.

For more information or to volunteer, call Jennifer Montoya at 903-255-4647.

Texarkana's Tacos 4 Life restaurant is at 3005 Mall Drive.
