TEXARKANA, Texas - Monday's meeting of the City Council features three briefings on rezoning and permitting requests.
City staff will brief the Council on granting one specific use permit to allow a permanent cosmetics business at 2011 Mall Drive and another to allow a double-wide manufactured home at the south dead end of Handley Street. Another briefing concerns rezoning the Handley Street property accordingly.
The Council will hold public hearings and vote on the measures during its March 7 meeting.
Also on Monday, the Council will conduct a public hearing and vote on a resolution renewing a contract with Stanley Consultants, which has been providing the city consulting services regarding Environmental Protection Agency grant funds.
The agenda includes an open forum during which members of the public may address the Council on any topic for up to five minutes each.
The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 220 Texas Blvd.
