BREAKING | Seven confirmed COVID-19 cases in Miller County, including county official

TEXARKANA, Ark. - There are now seven confirmed coronavirus cases in Miller County, local officials announced Thursday.

The count is up from two confirmed cases Wednesday and has almost caught up with Bowie County, Texas' count of nine.

County Judge Cathy Hardin Harrison and Mayor Allen Brown made the announcement during a Thursday afternoon news briefing at the Bi-State Justice Building.

Harrison also announced that a county official has tested positive.

Harrison also announced that the Miller County Courthouse will be closed to the public until further notice.

Plans are also underway to open a drive-through screening from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday at 82 Plaza shopping center.
