Miller County coronavirus cases reach 33 | Bowie County remains at 89

Miller County, Arkansas' number of confirmed coronavirus cases increased by three from Wednesday to Thursday, reaching a new high of 33, according to the county Office of Emergency Management.

Bowie County and Cass County in Texas remained at 89 and 15 cases, respectively, the Joint Operations Center for those counties reported.

Forty Bowie County coronavirus patients have recovered, no longer requiring treatment. Fourteen Miller County patients and seven Cass County patients have recovered.

Bowie County has reported six deaths related to COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, and Miller County has reported one.

Elsewhere in Southwest Arkansas, Lafayette County's case count rose by two, from four to six, according to state health department data. Officials reduced Howard County's count from 14 to 13. Sevier County held at 10 cases, Hempstead County at five, Pike County at three, Nevada County at one and Little River County at zero.

In Northeast Texas, Titus County held at 12, Morris County at five and Red River County at one.

Caddo Parish, Louisiana's tally rose from 1,332 to 1,389, and Bossier Parish's from 246 to 255.

Arkansas' statewide total was 2,465 cases and 45 deaths. Texas reported 21,944 cases with 561 deaths, and Louisiana reported 25,739 cases with 1,540 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 828,441 total U.S. cases Thursday, with 46,379 deaths.
