Bowie County reports 20 new cases

From Wednesday to Thursday, the cumulative number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Bowie County, Texas, increased by 20, from 659 to 679, according to the local emergency Joint Operations Center.

Two-hundred ninety-one Bowie County COVID-19 patients have recovered, and 38 have died. Officials are tracking 350 active cases in the county.

Cass County, Texas' case count rose from 158 to 160, with 84 recoveries, seven deaths and 69 active cases, according to the JOC.

Elsewhere in Northeast Texas, Morris County's tally went up from 98 to 100, Red River County's from 135 to 136 and Titus County's from 1,178 to 1,184, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

In Southwest Arkansas, Miller County added 6 cases to reach 495, with 430 recoveries, five deaths and 60 active cases, according to the Arkansas Department of Health.

Pike County's count went up from 88 to 91, Nevada County's from 134 to 136, Little River County's from 160 to 164, Howard County's from 308 to 322 and Sevier County's from 958 to 969. Lafayette County held at 52 cases and Hempstead County at 227.

Caddo Parish in Northwest Louisiana added 50 cases for a total of 6,566, and Bossier Parish added 20 cases to reach 2,295, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

Statewide, Arkansas reported 47,028 cases with 515 deaths. Louisiana reported 127,246 cases with 4,028 deaths, and Texas reported 467,485 cases with 7,803 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 4,802,491 total cases so far in the U.S., with a national death toll of 157,631.
