This year's Engaging Texarkana event is coming in September.
However, due to the unusual conditions the community is contending with, the Chamber of Commerce is contemplating the question, virtual or physical?
"We are in the process of working out the details," said Natalie Haywood, chamber events and communications director. "Logistics, negotiations with potential speakers. This event will happen, we just are working out the best way to do it this year, all things considered."
This year's Engaging Texarkana will be the second of these events.
"The one last year was very successful," said Haywood. "We had great organizations supporting, good speakers and we had about 180 attendees. We figure this year's event will probably be online, but we are still determining that. We want input from our audience on shaping this event, though, how to structure it, etc."
The chamber has set up a survey for those interested to submit input. Also, they can email the chamber at [email protected], or call the chamber at 903-792-7191.
The chamber also has sponsorship opportunities available and wants to hear from all those interested in this event.
