TEXARKANA, Ark. - Shoppers had a chance to peruse the racks of brightly colored clothes and toys for a range of children, from infants to "big boy/girl" size clothing, baby equipment and toys of all kinds on Friday during the Fall-Winter back-to-school consignment sale at the Four States Fairgrounds.

"Local moms consign clothes and other items that their children have grown out of, " said Amy Carmeli, owner of Polka Dots and Lollipops, described as an "upscale kids consignment sale."

Polka Dots and Lollipops convenes at the Art Building of the Four States Fairgrounds twice a year and has been going on for several years. Today is the last day of their sale and, like every day this event goes on, is tax free.

For items that are not sold, parents who put up items for sale can choose to donate them. Donated items go to For The Sake of One, a local nonprofit supporting the fostering community.
