Louisiana murder suspect arrested in Texarkana

A murder suspect wanted in Louisiana has been arrested in Texarkana, according to authorities.

Sean Johnson, 25, of Ruston, Louisiana, who was wanted by Union Parish Sheriffs Office and Bernice Police Department in reference to a shooting death of a Bernice Woman on Saturday night was taken into custody Monday in Texarkana, Texas.

TTPD received information from a family member of the victim, that Johnson might be at the Town North Apartments, said Shawn Vaughn, spokesman for TTPD.

"Our officers talked to a woman at the apartment and then the suspect came out and was arrested without incident," Vaughn said.

Union Parish Detectives traveled to Texarkana Tuesday to continue their investigation. Investigators urge anyone with any information regarding this case to contact UPSO, Bernice Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Union Parish.

Johnson was wanted for alleged involvement in the shooting death of a 25-year-old woman Saturday night at Willow Village Apartments in Bernice, Louisiana.

Johnson fled in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala.

Investigators urge anyone with any information regarding this case to contact UPSO, Bernice Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Union Parish.
