TTPD identifies suspect who allegedly wore a coat out of Academy Sports + Outdoors without paying for it, arrest warrant will be forthcoming for the juvenile

TEXARKANA, Texas - Police have identified a suspect they believe walked out of Academy Sports + Outdoors on Jan. 16 wearing a $270 coat he allegedly did not pay for, according to a Facebook post.

After posting two photos of the suspect Thursday evening, he was identified within three hours.

Police say he is a juvenile and his face has since been obscured in the photos as a result.

In one photo he is seen wearing a $270 Drake Mossy Oak Bottomland coat that  he allegedly took with him "to the restroom and emerged wearing it a few minutes later with the tags removed," the post states.

"He then walked straight out the door and drove off in this rather distinctive truck with what looks like a bunch of paint chips all over it."

The updated post states a warrant will be forthcoming for the juvenile's arrest.
