Hopkins Icehouse in Texarkana, Arkansas, has announced it is temporarily closing because of an employee testing positive for COVID-19.
"We have closed the Hopkins Icehouse on the Arkansas side and have called in a professional sanitizing team to do the job on the place," said Lisa Matlock, general manager for both Hopkins locations. "We will be testing our employees as well and the Arkansas side will remain closed until all employees test negative. Then, at that time, we will re-evaluate."
Matlock estimates at least a week to two weeks that the Arkansas location remains closed.
"But all will depend on test results," she said. "So stand by for announcements."
The Texas-side Hopkins Icehouse on Gibson Lane remains open for business.
