TEXARKANA, Texas - Texarkana police have arrested a man accused of raping a woman while she was passed out from alcohol in the back of a friend's car.

Adam Fletcher Post, 25, is being held in the Bowie County jail with bail set at $100,000 in connection with a trip to the Caddo River last month. Post reportedly was among a group who arranged to meet in the parking lot of a local business in Texarkana, Texas, and caravan to the river June 20, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The alleged victim and a friend rode together to the Caddo River near Arkadelphia, Ark., and Post rode with others, leaving his truck parked at the Texarkana business. The woman told investigators Post gave her an unopened bottle of pink lemonade-flavored vodka, which she drank as the group floated the river.

She told investigators she had only known Post for a few months and that they were not intimately involved. The woman reported that her memory of the day is sketchy and she doesn't remember Post assaulting her. The woman's friend told investigators she had gotten out of her car after returning to Texarkana with the alleged victim and Post about 7:30 p.m. to look for the keys to Post's truck.

When she came back to the car, the alleged victim's friend reported seeing Post on top of the unconscious woman in the back seat having sex with her.

"(The alleged victim's friend) stated that she yelled at Post to get off of (the alleged victim) and he left the scene," the affidavit states.

The woman said that after Post left, the alleged victim remained unconscious in the back seat and her swimsuit bottom had been removed.

Both women made a report to Texarkana, Texas, police July 3 and Texarkana, Texas, Detective Tabitha Smith interviewed the alleged victim July 8.

"She stated she did not know what had happened to her until she was informed by the witness that she was sexually assaulted. She stated that the other friends that they were with advised her that when they were on the river, Post was seen touching her while she was passed out on a picnic table by the river which started a disturbance and the Clark County Sheriff's Office responded," the affidavit states.

Photos of the alleged victim buckled in but passed out in the back seat of her friend's car taken before the alleged sexual assault were provided to the police.

Post has been charged with aggravated sexual assault. If convicted, he faces five to 99 years or life in prison.
