TEXARKANA, Texas - A woman was killed Tuesday in a vehicle crash on Summerhill Road.
The victim, who has been identified as Nicole Burnett, 24, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died at the scene in the 4500 block of Summerhill Road, according to the Texarkana Texas Police Department. Burnett was driving a 2012 Ford Focus.
Police were called to the accident about 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The other driver, Harry Cogell, 61, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was driving a GMC Sierra pickup.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, but police believe Burnett's northbound vehicle crossed into the path of the southbound truck and the vehicles collided head-on.
