Two regional counties reach 700 coronavirus cases

Both Sevier County, Arkansas, and Titus County, Texas, reported at least 700 cumulative coronavirus cases Tuesday.

Sevier County's count of confirmed cases so far reached 700, up from 693 on Monday, and Titus County's rose from 697 to 702, according to the Arkansas Department of Health and the Texas Department of State Health Services, respectively.

In the Texarkana region, only two Northwest Louisiana parishes have reported more cases.

Caddo Parish added 49 cases Tuesday to reach 3,309, and Bossier Parish added 39 cases to reach 875, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

In Northeast Texas, Bowie County reported an increase of nine for a total of 277, with 119 recoveries and 16 related deaths, according to the local emergency Joint Operations Center. Cass County held at 44 cases with 36 recoveries and two deaths.

Morris County, Texas, held at 38 cases, while Red River County's tally increased by five, from 105 to 110, according to TDSHS.

Miller County, Arkansas, held at 114 cases, Nevada County at 101, Hempstead County at 50, Little River County at 38 and Pike County at eight, according to the Arkansas Department of Health.

Howard County added three cases to reach 89, and Lafayette County added two to reach 18.

Statewide, Arkansas reported 20,777 cumulative cases with 270 deaths, Louisiana reported 58,095 cases with 3,113 deaths, and Texas reported 159,986 cases with 2,424 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 2,581,229 total cases so far in the U.S., with a national death toll of 126,739.
