WAKE VILLAGE, Texas — HealthCARE Express is dedicating its Wake Village clinic to testing people for infection with the new coronavirus.

As long as supplies last, testing will be available by appointment for those who meet screening criteria established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, spokesperson Angela Evans said.

HealthCARE Express promises test results in one to three days, "drastically reducing the wait time for results compared to the previous COVID-19 test," a company announcement states.

Symptoms of COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, include fever, cough, sore throat and shortness of breath.

Those who are experiencing symptoms can call the clinic at 903-831-4065. If screening indicates a test is warranted, the clinic will schedule an appointment.

Most health insurance plans cover the cost of testing, and HealthCARE Express offers a cash option for the uninsured.

The clinic is at 4701 W. Seventh St. in Wake Village.
