NEW BOSTON, Texas - The Governing Body of the City of New Boston will hold a called council meeting on Friday to consider postponing the city's general election.
Originally slated for May 2, the election could be rescheduled for Nov. 3 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Also on the agenda is a measure that would allow Mayor Johnny Branson to execute a local declaration of disaster because of the pubic health emergency.
The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at the New Boston Community Center, 301 E.N. Front Str.
