TDCJ: Three area sex offenders are now wanted fugitives after absconding from parole

TEXARKANA, Texas - The Texas Department of Criminal Justice has listed three area men among sex offenders who have active warrants for failing to comply with the conditions of their paroles.

Court records show Chester Henderson, 54, was convicted of indecency with a child by exposure in 2008 as part of a plea bargain in Bowie County. His charges stemmed from misconduct with a young girl in 2006.

TDCJ reports that Henderson was released from state custody Feb. 3, 2017, and that a warrant for his arrest was issued earlier this month. The site lists Henderson as a black male, 6 foot 4 inches tall and weighing 215 pounds.

Henderson's last known address was in Texarkana, Texas.

The last known address for Derrick Lamar Grundy, 47, is Queen City, Texas. TDCJ reports that Grundy was convicted in Cass County of sexual assault in 1990, convicted of forgery in Bowie County in 2015 and of failing to register as a sex offender in Cass County in 2012.

TDCJ reports that a warrant for Grundy's arrest was issued May 21, 2019.

A warrant for Jonathan David Toney, 32, was issued April 17 of this year. Toney was convicted in Cass County in 2011 of two counts of sexual assault of a child and a single count of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Toney's last known address was Atlanta, Texas, according to TDCJ.

Anyone with information regarding the location of the fugitive sex offenders should call contact local law enforcement. Anonymous tips regarding an offender's location can also be left on TDCJ's website.
