Brother and sister accused of murder in the shooting death of a 16-year-old in Texarkana indicted

TEXARKANA, Texas - A brother and sister accused of murder in the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy have been indicted by a Bowie County grand jury.

Bosnia Delease Taylor, 21, and her brother Demarius Dejuan Taylor, 20, were indicted Thursday for murder in the March 31 death of Notorious Crabtree. The siblings are expected to appear for arraignment next month before 202nd District Judge John Tidwell.

Bosnia Taylor was allegedly involved in a physical fight between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. March 31 in the 3700 block of Ash Street during which witnesses said Bosnia Taylor was "beat," according to a probable-cause affidavit. Bosnia Taylor allegedly sent messages via Facebook to a woman involved in the earlier dust-up expressing her desire for another physical confrontation.

The woman who received the Facebook messages from Bosnia Taylor allegedly showed them to Texarkana, Texas, police on her phone. Bosnia Taylor's messages allegedly designated "Middlebrook" as the destination for the second conflict.

About 20 minutes after the last message was allegedly sent by Bosnia Taylor on Facebook, officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the 1700 block of Meadowbrook Lane in Texarkana, Texas. Multiple witnesses told police that Bosnia Taylor and approximately seven other people arrived in the area in two SUVs.

A fight "ensued in the roadway." According to the affidavit, a 50-year-old man with the same last name as the shooting victim was "attempting to separate the parties" when Bosnia Taylor shouted to her brother, "shoot him."

Witnesses allegedly identified Demarius Taylor as the person who pulled out a gun and shot the teen. Notorius died at the scene.

If convicted of murder, the brother and sister face five to 99 years or life in prison. Both are being held in the Bowie County jail with bail set at $1 million.

Bosnia Taylor is represented by Texarkana lawyer Derric McFarland. Demarious Taylor is represented by Texarkana lawyer David James.
