TEXARKANA - The Greater Texarkana Young Professionals and Commercial National Bank of Texarkana have teamed up to give three scholarships to area students.
"Our scholarship review committee had to make some extremely difficult choices to narrow the recipients down to three, but we appreciate every student that took the time to apply," GTYP said in a Facebook post. "Congratulations and good luck to all of our local high school seniors."
The three seniors who received the scholarships are:
* Evette Martinez Espinosa, DeKalb ISD, $1,000 * Scarlett Fannin, DeKalb ISD, $500 * Raven Ivory, Texas High School, $250
GTYP also announced on social media that it will tee off on its first Benefit Golf Tournament at 2 p.m. on June 25 at New Haven Golf Club in Texarkana, Arkansas.
The event will be a four-man scramble.
