A Miller County man has been arrested after a home was burglarized Monday near Genoa, Arkansas.

A burglar forced his way into the home, took several firearms and other items, according to the Miller County Sheriff's Office.

Investigator Cody Hensley was assigned the case for a follow-up investigation, which included looking at surveillance video. He identified the suspect as Randy L. Works, 44, of Texarkana.

A warrant was obtained for burglary/theft of property, and Deputy Mark Brown arrested Works on Tuesday at a home on South Valley Road and took him to the Miller County Detention Center.

At the time of his arrest, Works was out on bond on two unrelated felony charges for breaking or entering and possession of a controlled substance.

He remains in the detention center pending arraignment on the new charges.
