Road Runner donates 75 burger patty cases to regional food bank

TEXARKANA, Ark. Road Runner donated 75 hamburger patty cases to Harvest Regional Food Bank on Friday morning. The donation took place at 9 a.m. at the 4603 West 7th Street Road Runner location. The donation is valued at $7,000, company officials say.

"Coulson Oil has a long history of giving back to the communities we serve," said John Harris, president and CEO of Coulson Oil. "In these challenging times, we are proud to support the Harvest Regional Food Bank."

The company also supports the four public high schools here, giving three cents for every gallon sold at local spirit pumps. The collection goes to support academic initiatives, athletic organizations and other student projects.

The four participating locations include 5720 Loop 245 for Arkansas High School, 4603 W. 7th Street for Liberty-Eylau High School, 4101 N. Kings Highway for Pleasant Grove High School and 1632 Richmond Road for Texas High School.

Since its start nearly 50 years ago, North Little Rock-based Coulson Oil has grown into a multi-branded distributor of gasoline and diesel fuel. Today it provides Shell and Valero services and products to more than 200 convenience stores and fuel outlets in Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas and Oklahoma. In 2012, Coulson Oil Company purchased two Road Runner convenience stores in Texarkana. It has several others.
