TEXARKANA, Texas — Police are urging motorists to avoid or use caution on College Drive this month because of roadwork.

Contractor crews are resurfacing parts of College Drive and it involve milling the roadway and applying a new asphalt overlay.

Crews started Monday with the section between North Robison Road and Richmond Road, according to the Texarkana Texas Police Department.

This coming Monday, crews are expected to start working on the section between Summerhill Road and Texas Boulevard.

TTPD officials suggest motorists should avoid these work areas if possible. The street will remain open, but congestion and delays are unavoidable, officials say.
